To no one in particular

Perhaps you can offer me
A glass of philter
that I will sip, taste, savour
For the rest of my days.

My embittered soul had walked
Away from your phony world
And sought solace into the arms
Of demise and decay.
Ages past by and I
Stood alone amidst the debris,
Looking ahead for happier days,
That were never to arrive.

And then the return,
In the half-past night,
Through the dark alleys of
Your city, long dead;
I will love you again,
In the asphalt of your grey heart
I will dream to blossom life.
